38 Weeks Pregnant

38 weeks. Um..wow?
Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.
Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If she's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If she's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time she's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she's born, but they usually won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.) [ BabyCenter ]
Well, Mommy and Daddy both have blue eyes so babygirl better end up with blue eyes. Although she could be born with black eyes and black hair like her mother. I was a wannabe goth baby.

Weight: With my tooth problems finally completely gone, I'm eating and gaining weight as normal again. As of yesterday's doctor's appointment, I weighed 134lbs, that's +30lbs so far.

Movement: She's still a lazy girl, most of the time, but sometimes her kicks and movements are pretty intense. I can definitely feel a difference lately. She'll still kick and move anytime her daddy talks to her, but she's stubborn and won't move a bit when I try to get her to move for her grandmother or little cousin.

Swollen Feet? Are finally pretty much gone. Probably because I'm done working as of the 2nd of this month. They aren't as bony as they once were, but they finally look like my feet again. I can do whatever I want all day and never have to put them up. What a relief.

Sleep: I'm sleeping decently most nights, although now I wake up between 9-9:30 every morning no matter what. It's kind of a nice change. Much better than when I was waking up around 11, then napping again at 12.

Name: We know 100% what her name is going to be, but I still haven't announced it. Just a few friends and family know. She's even got a few nicknames already.

I'm getting excited to meet the little miss, but I'm still in no rush to get her out. I'm enjoying my free time now that I'm done work and I'm loving all the sleep.
