For the love of food

Oh Pinterest. It's probably as addicting as crack. I wouldn't know as I haven't tried crack but man am I ever addicted to Pinterest. I've used it a bunch lately to help me out in the kitchen. And the verdict? Well, read on. 

I tried Foolproof peanut butter fudge. Just two simple ingredients. It's really peanut buttery, but still yummy. Great if you want a super fast and easy fudge fix. Plus, if you didn't know what the ingredients were, you probably wouldn't guess. 

I tried out oreo cheesecake cupcakes. The recipe was easier than I expected. The only problem was I saw 2 packages of cream cheese, and that's what I used. It turns out that my packages of cream cheese are larger than the recipe called for. I think after the math, I had about 50g more cream cheese than I needed, but by then they were already in the oven. They still taste okay, but they're a bit cheesier than I'd like. 

I had a helper for these. 

Peanut butter no bake cookies. I made these once before, but this time they turned out even better. I ate so many of them for a few days after, but luckily I stuck some in the freezer to eat closer to Christmas. I love Christmas baking. 

Pizza biscuits. So yummy, except I had all my cheese and pepperoni right in the middle. Next time I want to mix it into the dough more, not all in one spot. Still a great snack. Very quick to make and cook. 

Pizza casserole. Probably the best thing I've made. Even the leftovers taste great. 

And the newest thing I made from Pinterest - Pizza grilled cheese. Also very yummy. I didn't dip in pizza sauce, I spread pizza sauce on the inside of each piece of bread so it's cooked right in.

It's amazing how much you can make with one package of pepperoni and one small can of pizza sauce. I'm in pizza-freaking-heaven.

Pinterest is so good. 

My Dream Home

With all the excitement of moving, I've been thinking a lot about what it'll be like to live in a place that's all my own, with no roommates or anyone, just Chloe. I can decorate however I want, without running it by someone first. 

And sooo of course I browsed around Pinterest for some ideas. Here are some I'd like to incorporate into my new apartment. 

I've been thinking of doing my new bathroom in black and turquoise. I won't have any much freedom to decorate like this turquoise bathroom, obviously, but I do plan on getting the turquoise towels, toothbrush holder and maybe find a wooden stand or stool or something to paint turquoise. I also wouldn't mind creating my own whale facial tissue box. Oh the ideas. 

I'd also love to redecorate Chloe's room in the new apartment. Instead of the current Super Mario room, I'd like to do a black, pink and purple room with maybe a butterfly theme. Yeah, black is going to be my go-to color. I would probably even create a paper/bristol board butterfly for the wall, since lately that's my go-to way of making baby decor. I'm in love with this black and pink nursery. 

For my bedroom, I like the idea of this black and red bedroom. There's something so sexy about red, I don't know what it is. 

This storage center wouldn't be too hard to recreate, since I have a 9-cube shelf of my own already, in black or course. Although I'd like to live that in my living room area, so I'd just have to coordinate the colors with that room. Believe it or not, that's the only room I haven't picked out a color for, although I was originally thinking purple.

We'll just have to wait and see how the apartment will really turn out.

Five awesome sweet recipes

Pinterest. My new online recipe book. My baking cupboard really needs some re-stocking, but here are a few awesome things I cannot wait to make. 

A single serving of safe-to-eat cookie dough. Because who doesn't have the occasional craving for a little bit of dough? I tried and loved this one, even though I had no chocolate chips.

Cheesecake cookie dough bars. The best of both worlds.

Butterfinger blondies. My favorite chocolate bar in a square. Yes, please. 

Cookie dough dip. Such a genius idea. 

Homemade Butterfingers. Like I said, my favorite chocolate bar. And only three ingredients.

I finally figured out and love Pinterest

I am SO proud of myself. I finally figured out Pinterest. Finally. I've played around on it a few times before, but I never understood it at all. 

Pins? Boards? Huh? 

But then I kept playing. And I actually made some boards, pinned some pins to those boards. I thought it was kind of cool, but still nothing special. 

Then! I played around, trying to add my own pins, trying to add something to my blog. I added it, and then I saw this in the bottom corner: 

Other items from my blog. Other items that OTHER PEOPLE had pinned. People were pinning stuff from my blog. So then I felt famous for 15 seconds. So the fact that people could and actually were putting my stuff on Pinterest had me pretty excited. 

After that, I added the 'Pin It' button to my toolbar, and now I can very easily add anything I want to Pinterest. I've been adding recipes left and right. I've also found a lot of awesome craft, organization and decorating ideas.I don't spend hours upon hours on it, but it is a fun waste of time. And it organizes everything so much better than just using simple bookmarking. I bookmark a TON of stuff, so it makes me feel a lot more organized. I'm in love.
