10 Overused, but too awesome to leave out, wedding & dance songs

As this posts, I will be on my way to start my wedding weekend away. In honor of my best friend's wedding, I have a couple of wedding-related posts scheduled while I'm away.

Working at a hotel, I get to hear my fair share of wedding music coming from the wedding dances that go on downstairs from where I work.

1. I Loved Her First - Heartland

Very overused father/daughter dance song, but still gets me crying everytime

2. From This Moment - Shania Twain

Bride and groom's song

3. I Got a Feeling - The Black Eyed Peas

4. Locomotion - Kylie Minogue

5. Crazy B*tch - Buckcherry

I was surprised that this one plays so often. It's awkward taking phone calls or talking with guests when you hear the song blaring in the background like I'm at a party. Go professionalism.

6. I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor

7. Billie Jean - Michael Jackson

8. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper

9. Jump Around - House of Pain

10. Summer Nights or a remix of Grease music

I love you. You know I do.

Your concert in October 2008 was one of the best that I've ever been to - I'd even put you up there with Def Leppard, and they're my absolute favorite. I had a blast. Your singing gave me chills, your outfits were amazing, and your rocked 'Paradise City' almost as awesome as Guns n Roses. I even found a bad fan video of you performing that song at the very same concert. 

(PS I still feel awkward watching this video of you pulling that little girl up on stage with you for 'Canadian Girl'. She was terrified up there)

I love SO many of your songs, but I've come to notice lately one thing about you that kind of bothers me. 

Too many of your songs can make me cry oh so easily. 

Just in the past 2 days, I've teared up to 'Wasted' and 'Mama's Song' when I saw the videos on CMT then 'Jesus Take the Wheel' last night in my car. 

But that doesn't mean I don't still love them anyway. 

Songs that Annoy the #?*!^ Out of Me

1. Halo - Beyonce
Especially when she's basically chanting "halo halo halo halo halo halo". Enough already!!

2. Baby - Justin Bieber
It's Justin Bieber, no explanation necessary.

3. Take it Off - Ke$ha
I cannot turn on the tv to a music station without seeing this video. I can't go through a shift at work without it playing 3+ times on the radio. Overplayed would be an understatement. 

4. Airplanes - B.o.B. & Hayley Williams
Simply because I grew insanely tired of reading the lyrics in almost everyone's facebook statuses. We could all probably use a wish right now. And posting it on facebook will make it come true, obviously.

5. Ridin' Solo - Jason Darulo
There are only so many times you can repeat the phrase 'ridin' solo' before I want to hit you. 

6. Rude Boy - Rihanna
I just can't help it, it drives me crazy. I tried to like it, but just can't. 

7. Can't Be Tamed - Miley Cyrus

"I go through guys like money flyin' out their hands" Wait, aren't you still 12? Either way, you should probably turn the slut down just a tad bit.

8. No Air - Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown

I just hate some, or most, repetitive songs, and this is one. 

- Cotton Eye Joe gets an honorary mention, as I've hated that song my entire life. 

Songs I Should Find Annoying, But Love Anyway

1. Eenie Meenie - Justin Bieber & Sean Kingston
But seriously, wtf is up with everyone and their pet monkey doing a song with Bieber? (Sean Kingston, Jaden Smith, Usher, Ludacris) Trying to up his cool factor, I suppose, but it's not working. 

2. Love the Way You Lie - Rihanna & Eminem

It is crazy overplayed, and I'm getting annoyed, but I just love Rihanna's voice in it, so sue me.

3. Meet Me Halfway - Black Eyed Peas

I liked it, hated it, liked it, was annoyed by it, but settled on liking it. It was a tough decision. 

4. Party in the USA - Miley Cyrus

I might hate 'Can't be Tamed' but this one is catchy and makes me want to dance in my car. 

5. Hotel Room Service - Pitbull

Hated it at first, then I just started to love chanting "we at the hotel, motel Holiday Inn". 

6. Right Now (Na Na Na) - Akon

By default you shouldn't like a song with 'Na Na Na' right in the title, but what can I say?

7. Shots - LMFAO & Lil Jon

One of those repetitive songs I should hate, and I did at first, but it just grew on me. Not to mention the lyrics are pretty disgusting. 

8. My Humps - Black Eyed Peas

Don't ask me why.
