Samantha Who?

I have a new favorite show. Lucky for me, this one is a short one. 

I've gotten sucked into Desperate Housewives, House, Gilmore Girls, and those are LONG (seven seasons each, so far). My new favorite show is Samantha Who?, and it's a half-hour show, and only 2 seasons long. It ended in 2009.

Samantha (played by Christina Applegate) gets into a car accident and wakes up with amnesia. She can't remember anything about herself. It fun watching her learn about her old, evil self, and try to be a better person. It's also keeps me interested by making me wonder what's going to happen between her and ex-boyfriend, Todd, played by Barry Watson, who I have not seen since his 7th Heaven days.

It also stars Melissa McCarthy as Samantha's best friend from childhood. She played Sookie in Gilmore Girls and her character in Samantha Who? is similar, and just as lovable.

There is also an appearance from Mary-Kate Olsen for one episode. Yay..? I was a bit surprised. Didn't know either of the Olsen twins had done any acting in the past few years.

I'm currently in the middle of watching season 2 of this show and I'll be sad when it's over.

Something Borrowed.. as a movie?

I was creeping around IMDb today, starting with Ginnifer Goodwin. Maybe you're like me and had no idea who she was, and well, I still don't. But if you look at her 'Filmography' list, you will see 'Something Borrowed' at the top, set as post-production. I may have just skipped right over that fact, but I saw that name Rachel. And it clicked in my head that one of my favorite books....

...was soon being released as a movie!

I absolutely loved this book, and the one following it, 'Something Blue'. They are about best friends Rachel and Darcy. Long story short, Rachel falls for Darcy's fiance, Dex.

Now, Dex is played by Colin Egglesfield, who I don't know either but look at him...

I don't think I would mind watching him as the lead male role in the movie.

Some awesome people? John Krasinski (from The Office) plays Ethan (but I don't remember who Ethan was in the book :/ ), and Kate Hudson plays Darcy. 

There's Ashley Williams, who played in my favorite show How I Met Your Mother in 2006. Steve Howey who played in Reba. 

So overall, I am super excited to see one of my favorite books as a movie with a great looking an awesome cast. Have you read it? 

Don't even get me started on 'One for the Money' being released as a movie, too. I was obsessed with that Janet Evanovich series.

Love for Desperate Housewives

I've been addicted with Desperate Housewives the past few days. It's been a favorite show of mine for awhile, and with my tv show boxed sets obsession and a sale at Future Shop, I started buying the show.

I love how it's like a soap opera, with so much going on, and so much drama all the time. Even though it's all a bit much it's still plausible. I love how all of the housewives are so different from each other. I really love the cute music that plays in the show. I find myself really being drawn to Lynette as my favorite. I think it's her super adorable relationship with Tom.


I am on season 3, and already I'm sad that there's only 5 seasons (on dvd so far), especially since season 4 has yet to be cheap enough for me to buy it. I'm a hardcore bargain hunter when it comes to my boxed sets. Does anyone else have a similar obsession with watching shows in marathon form?

I love finding common actors/actresses within all of my favorite shows so here are some random little facts:

• Kyle MacLachlan who plays Bree's husband, Orson, on Deseperate Housewives also plays Charlotte's husband, Trey, on Sex and the City (my other favorite girly show).
• Olivia Wilde who is Alex on The O.C., and Dr. Hadley on House M.D.
• Cam Gigandet who plays Kevin Volchok on The O.C. and James on Twilight.
• Nikki Reed who is Sadie on The O.C. and Rosalie in the Twilight series.

I go crazy in IMDb sometimes and I love seeing who's played in what show/movie in the past. Usually I never realized it.
