Blogger's Block

My urge to blog and to read blogs has been thrown to the backseat by, get this, facebook creeping. Yep, I now spend more time looking at pictures, creeping timelines, liking statuses, and the worst one - browsing the local buy and sell group. I hate it, and I'm trying to put a stop to it, but today, once again, I found myself on facebook still an hour after Chloe has been down for her nap. i have to stop this madness! 

I'm also having some blogger's block. Like writer's block, except since I don't write these beautiful, inspiring posts like so many do, it's not writer's block. It's blogger's block. Blogger's block: for bloggers who write about their regular day-to-day activities and suddenly find themselves with no actual life to blog about. 

If I were to blog about my life right now it would go something like this:

     Dear Blog Readers,
Today me and Chloe woke up at 9:30am. I had a coffee and some instant oatmeal, then fed her a bottle, which she didn't finish because I think she's trying to become anorexic. We watched some How I Met Your Mother after breakfast. While Chloe played on her playmat, I used my handman tools (glue gun) to glue a hook back on to a super-cheap photo frame. I thought about hanging those photo frames on the wall, but Chloe got cranky. I put her down for a nap, then facebook creeped for an hour.

Seriously, that is my day. The only part I left out is that somewhere in there I got dressed, and now I'm eating a bowl of cheddar popcorn. This is my life. 

But I've been informed that it's against the rules to mention that I may have met someone without giving any details. So I'll make that right and maybe share a few teeny details on Monday.

Nothing to Blog About

I don't know what to blog about today.

I could blog about how I got a sweet used digital camera yesterday, so now I have one to bring everywhere with me. I'm terrified to hurt my SLR camera, too expensive and fancy.

I could blog about how I cleaned almost the whole bathroom today, but you wouldn't want those dirty details.

I could blog about how it's a beautiful day here on my little island, but further west in Alberta they've got some snow (suckers!)

I could blog about how I'm trying to sell every little useless item in this apartment just to clean out the junk and throw a little cash into the savings jar.

I could tell you guys about how I got a new Twitter, and that I would love for some followers, especially so I can find you and follow you back.

I could blog about.. no, I can't blog about that.

I could blog about my amazingly soft pita bread, but that's kind of boring, isn't it?

I could blog about how I wish I could sell off all my furniture (couch, coffee table set, two book shelves, dresser, night table, table) and just start fresh in my new apartment. I would then also tell you about how I couldn't, because I'd just be living on a bed with a tv and laptop.

I could mention that I started my Project 365 today. I tried once and gave up, so here goes again. It's where you take a picture a day for a year.

I could tell you about how I like me some coffee. Iced coffee is good too. You know what's not good... warm coffee gone cold. It's just not the same thing.

But since there's just nothing to blog about, I'll just say that I hope you guys are having a fantastic weekend!
