Friday was my brother and sister's birthday. Yeah, they're twins.
We had plans for a family dinner at mother's, which got thrown off when I got my first bunch of contractions and mother came up here in case I was really in labor. But then she got up here and they weren't really happening anymore. I helped her shop for a dress to wear to a wedding, to get me walking around and maybe keep the contractions coming. No luck. They went away, and she went home.
We still went up to her place (me, brother and his girlfriend) to have dinner at Pizza Delight with mother, sister and nephew. It was nice to get everyone together, but insanely loud. My brother, sister and nephew don't have an indoor voice. My sister yells out things in the restaurant about have some kind of male hormones and that's why she has so much body hair. And other random semi-embarrassing things that you don't want the family of 5 next to us to be listening to.
But it was still a good time. Brother talked too much about lifting weights. Sister stuck her hands in everyone's food. Nephew ate a lemon. Nothing out of the ordinary.
And the restaurant had the worst lighting ever, so all the photos are in black and white.
What's it like when your family gets together? Is yours loud and embarrassing like mine or do you sit and have regular conversation at regular noise levels?

Mine gets together privately lmao. It's a mix between loud/normal : )
my family is nuts. we're loud and crazy. you're far from the only one there...
Our family dinners are torture... my mom is such a...hypochondriac, anxiety, complaining freak...
When we all get together which isn't often as we are spread out it is pretty fun, full of laughs & occasionally loud.
Hope all is well, let us know when the baby arrives!
Family dinners are usually pretty crazy with a lot of different conversations happening at once. But it's fun. :)
