Until Sunday! We were about to leave to drop boyfriend off at work when I noticed Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen was coming on (I love mindless movies made for teen girls, don't judge). But it would be on while I was gone to drive him. But crisis averted, boyfriend taught me the magic of the DVR. All you do is make sure you're highlighting what you want, and just hit the record button on the remote. THAT EASY.
While he was at work I recorded Sister Act, Cheaper by the Dozen, Just Friends, and some What Not to Wear. As well as How I Met Your Mother (set to record each new episode!)
I recommend a DVR to anyone who rents a million movies, or has a busy schedule, or misses their favorite tv shows. Sure, you can't watch every movie you want (it's not Blockbuster, afterall), but you can get some great stuff, and watch it whenever you want, then just delete it when you're done.
The only downside (besides the few extra dollars it adds to your cable bill - $15 for me) is this:
Couch-potato syndrome.
Ouch. I think I'm screwed.
