Tutorial, guest posters and the end of vacation

I'm still on my mini-vacation, but I'm leaving to go home tomorrow. Time just flew by, as it always does. I'll be sad to leave, but it will be nice to get home and back into our own routine. It won't last long, because we're heading up to visit my grandfather this weekend and get family photos taken. Then it's back to real life. 

I finally posted the tutorial over at my crafting blog for the decorative letters I made spelling out Chloe's name for her room at our old apartment. 

I'm going to be doing a feature on births sometime soon, so I'd love to have some of you take part. I've already emailed a few of you. I'm just looking for a short little paragraph about your birth story. Send me an email if you're interested and I'll give you all the details. 

Monday Fragments

.... instead of Friday Fragments. 

- In honor of the beginning of December, I've officially decorated for Christmas. Decorated the blog, I mean. I've already showed you the beginnings of my apartment decorating. I've been using MyMemories Suite a lot lately to make headers and buttons for my blogs. I've been addicted to getting the free digital packs and have been looking at some of the others and considering buying some in the new year. So far I'm in love with this program. *

- The weekend is over. It was a quiet one. Me and Chloe visited with my cousin M. Saturday morning, then we came to Mom's house and we're staying for a few days. 

- I'm excited that it's soon Christmas shopping time for me. I'm still not sure what I'd like to get Chloe. Or anyone for that matter, but it sure is fun looking. 

- I created a couple of free Twitter backgrounds. Those are over at my VB Creations blog. 

- I made no-bake cookies a few days ago. Last night I ate enough to make me feel sick. It was only three, but it felt like I ate 10. They're so yummy though. 

- I don't have enough to say today :p

Sunday's Random Thoughts

Baby is kicking up a storm. Probably because we are both hungry. Food is on the way though.

Feet swelling are back. I guess that's going to haunt me for my entire pregnancy.

I took up painting. It was a pretty random choice. I bought a cheap wooden block and decided to make a little sign with it. Once I buy the mini wooden letters, paint and glue them on I think it will say 'Nessa's Space' and I'll hang it wherever I set up my desk and craft area. So far this is what I have:

With so much going on in the pattern I'll probably make my letters white and maybe outline them in black. 

I made address labels last night at work so today I glued them all to the envelopes. For my baby shower, I mean. So far I have the addresses of almost 25 people. I didn't think I would be inviting so many. It's safe to assume more than half won't be coming though. 

There's nothing worse than going to the beach on a nice day then it being so windy that the sand hurts your legs. Except maybe driving to the beach on a nice day and having it start raining when you get there. Only the first of the two happened to me today though. 

In 9 days I find out if I'm having a boy or a girl. The appointment is at 6pm. I'll probably barely be able to sit still all day. I'm pretty excited. Guess what I'm having here to enter the giveaway. 

It seems like Blogger is working today so I can comment on all blogs again, not just certain ones. Hopefully it lasts this time. Annoying Blogger. *Just as I finished this paragraph, Blogger wouldn't save this post to my drafts, or publish it. I can't win*

I'm still addicted to Gossip Girl. I'm almost ready to start season 3, then I'll have to find something else to occupy my time.

I wish days off didn't go by so fast. Even when I spend most of the day wishing I wasn't stuck alone. 

I Confess..

I dont really feel that the days are too short. Sometimes it's like they're too long.

Yet I still don't get done all that I'd like.

I don't regret the way I spend my time.

I just wish I didn't feel there would be consequences

or strained friendships if I decided otherwise.

I love my job.

Sometimes I feel my job has put my life on hold.

But I appreciate that I enjoy going to work.

Most days.

I wish snow wasn't so cold.

I wish it didn't get into my shoes.

I love writing.

I wish it didn't feel like a chore at times.

I'm 23 years old.

I still wish I knew what I wanted to do with my life.

I wish I was 18 again, and just beginning to think about it

I wish it was possible to change people.

I wish it was possible to make people see what things really are

Instead of what they want them to be.

I wish I did cut my fingernail on that door earlier tonight.

It hurts like a *****.

I wish I could relive ages 15-20.

I would live it mostly the same, just with a better attitude.

I love crazy, quirky families.

I'd just rather our quirks be more amusing than tragic.

I think more people should live with the thought

"What if I die tomorrow?"

Even me.

I wish little girls in groups didn't:
walk around barefoot in a public area
Talk all at once
Use the elevator as a toy
Scream.

Making a mountain out of a mole hill?

I wish more people would understand this idiom

And stop being an idiom idiot.
