Theater. I love the big screen, the loudness, and there are a lot less distractions around.

Vaccuuming. Or organizing a mess, if that counts

Coffee

Chocolate.

7. what's the last book you read?
I'm currently reading Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner. The last one I finished was Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer

Definitely look a little bit younger.

1. If you won the title of miss america, what would your platform be?
Umm.. world peace, I suppose. I wouldn't go near Miss America anyway.

2. Outdoorsy or indoorsy?
I'm more of an indoors person, but I love being outside in the summer.

3. Pajama's out in public..classy or tres tacky?
Tacky. I hate it.

4. What's your favorite room in your house?
My bedroom I guess. I'm not the biggest fan of the place I' m living in right now.

5. Nook, kindle, or book?
All I have are books, but I'd love to get some kind of reader. I don't know anything about the difference between Nooks and Kindles though.

6. Would you rather wear the same outfit for a week or not brush your teeth for a week?
Same outfit and just hope I didn't get it dirty.

7. What's your favorite blog at the moment?
Um.. hard to pick one. I really like Loves of Life, not sure if I've ever mentioned that one before.

8. Lately i've been daydreaming about.........?
Babies, Arby's, the little road trips I'm about to go on

GTKY - More Sunday Fun

It's Sunday again (already!) Time for MannLand5's 'Getting to Know You', the one weekly thing that's stuck with me the most. Head on over to Keely's blog if you want to play and link up.

1. If you had to choose a country to live in besides USA (or the country you live in), which would it be?
I live in Canada and I think I would probably pick some place in Europe, but since I haven't been to any of these places before, it's really hard to hypothetically pick a place to live. I'm interested in Italy the most, and I really don't have a specific reason why, I'm just curious.

2. Which would be worse, wearing flip flops in the snow or wearing gloves in the summer?
Flip flops in the snow. Gloves in the summer would suck, but I don't think it would cause permanent damage like like toes freezing and falling off. As long as I don't have to wear the rest of the winter outfit (boots, coat, snowpants, hat, etc.) I'm fine with the gloves.

3. Fried or Baked and why?
I'm an unhealthy girl, so of course I think fried tasted better. But really, it depends. I loved baked potatoes. I pick baked over microwaved, any day. Does that count? I love my deep fryer. I didn't love cleaning it last night though, just sayin'.

4. If you were an entertainment reporter, which celeb would you love to interview and why?
Reese Witherspoon, because she's adorable. Of Ellen Degeneres. She's so funny and it would be nice to interview her since it's usually her you see interviewing others. Or Gerard Butler because.. well, just look at him.

5. What was your favorite book as a preteen/teenager?
Probably the 'Sweet Dreams' teen romance books. I definitely read and loved 'Three's a Crowd', 'The Right Combination', and God knows there were others. Nice walk down memory lane :)

6. List your top 3 guilty pleasure television shows.
Degrassi: The Next Generation. So much Canada crammed into one wonderful, drama-filled tv show. Big Brother and The Bachelor(ette) probably count as my other two.

7. What bumper sticker slogan best describes you/your attitude/your life?
Consciousness: that annoying time between naps.

8. If you were to join a circus - what performer would you be?
I've only been to the circus once so I'm not as familiar with the positions as I'd like to be. But I think it would be fun to be a clown. I've definitely already expereience 'Clown Car Syndome' (when wayyy more people than what would seem possible pile out of a little car).

1. What do you look forward to the most on the 4th of July?
Nothing! Because I am Canadian so the 4th of July is just another day to me.


2. Are you a hugger?
Yeah, as long as I like the person I'm hugging.


3. What is your favorite BBQ'd food?
Hot dogs. I love mine well-done, like with a few burn spots and everything. Does that make me weird?

4. Do you like to watch parades?
I don't mind them. It's trying to find a place to squeeze in to watch that I don't like. And the freezing during Christmas parades, and the wetness during parades in the rain. I love them when I'm with a child, because it's great watching them get so excited.


5. Who has stinkier farts..boys or girls?
They can be equally bad, but I pick boys anyway.


6. Vampires or Werewolves?
Werewolves. Vampires are wayyy too cool for me right now.


7. Do you read your horoscope?
Sometimes. I like to see how close it is to being accurate.


8. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
I cannot pick just one. It varies from day to day. Peanut butter fudge crunch, rainbow, and cookie dough are a few of my favorites.

Getting To Know You Another Time

1.If you had 5000.00 to spend on plastic surgery what would you have done?

Boob job. I know, it's a little sad but I'm tired of really cute clothing not fitting me because I lack in that department.


2. Do you watch Soap operas and if so what is your favorite and why?

I don't, but I used to be obsessed with Days of Our Lives when I was 13-14ish.



3. Favorite clothing brand?

I don't have a favorite brand, I just have a few favorite stores.



4. An afternoon shopping spree at your favorite store or maid service for a year?

Shopping, definitely. I don't mind cleaning that much.



5. would you ever vajazzle?

I don't know exactly what that entails, but I have an idea, and I pick no.



6. Favorite Disney Princess?

I'm having a hard time choosing. I guess I just don't have one.



7. Last movie that made you bawl your eyes out?

I can't think of any that have lately. Letters to Juliet had me crying a bit.



8. Have you ever broken any bones and if so what?

None of my own, no.

Getting to Know You

1. If you could have one of Superman's, powers which one would you want? Superhuman strength..Flight..Superhuman speed..X-Ray vision..etc
Flight. Gas ain't cheap.

2. The best thing I ever won is....?
$75 dollars from Bingo? I was very young and had to split it with my grandfather though, since he paid for me to go.

3. Have you ever skyped with a bloggy friend?
I've never skyped at all.

4. What is your favorite Summer month?
July. It's the only month where we're likely to get good weather. I think it was last summer where it rained for basically 2 weeks straight in August.

5. Pool, Lake, or Ocean?
Pool to swim in. The ocean is beautiful though and I love walking and laying on the beach. Lakes have creepies that I dont like.

6. One of my favorite Summer memories is.....?
Hmm... the first time we had a beach party in high school.

7. What's your favorite secret bargain?
$10 bikinis at Wal-Mart! They actually fit me right, and they're cheap, but it's not really a secret.

8. Do you plan on or have you been watching the World Cup?
No. Not really into it.

Getting to Know Me!

1.  Have you ever snooped around someone else's house?

Yeah.. back in my more curious days. It's been years since I've done it.

2. Can guys and girls be friends? ( thanks Jen!)

Yes. One of my best friends is a guy. It's rare though for a guy and girl to be just friends, usually at least one of them develops feelings for the other. 

3. Can you curl your tongue?

Yup

4. Have you ever stolen anything?

Yes.. I actually went through a bad stage of it from ages 10-12 I believe. Stores have never caught me, but mother did.

5. Would you rather talk on the phone or text?
Usually text, unless I have something long and drawn out to say. Not a big fan of the telephone.

6. Memorial Day plans?
I am Canadian, so no.

7. What do you do to relax?
Blog! Or watch tv and go for walks.

8. Do you do anything to honor those that have died fighting for our freedom?
Not really

The questions..

1. The most expensive thing hanging in my closet is.....?

Probably some form of clothing my boyfriend owns. My stuff is mostly cheap/sale stuff. I'm one of those bargain hunters.

2. Have you ever played a team sport?
No, I was never really a sport person.

3. If you were a bug, what kind would you be?
A june bug. So I could tell the rest of the june bugs to stop scaring the hell out of people everywhere.

4. Where on your body is the worst place to get sunburned? (thanks Ian)
I've only been sunburned in the usual places: arms, legs, shoulders, nose. I can imagine it would be horrible to get your behind sunburned. It would make it quite uncomfortable to sit, or even lay on your back.

5. Are you happy?
Things are messed up and far from perfect, but yeah, I think I'm happy.

6. People are always abbreviating..are there any abbreviations that make your skin crawl when people use them?
LMFAO. Lol isn't so bad, you have to express laughter somehow, and 'hahaha' gets boring. Lmao is okay to express more intense laughter. Lmfao is just pointless and annoys me. Must we throw the 'f word' in there? And turn it into the name of an electro hop group? (Yes, I googled to find out exactly what you would call the stuff they came up with, and I'm not saying anything bad, as I love both I'm in Miami & Shooting Star)

7. Do you love where you live..or could you live anywhere?

I don't mind it, but I love the last province I lived in more.

8. What, if any, extreme measures do you go to to keep yourself from overeating when you're full?
I don't have that problem. I eat all that I want, sometimes I'll nibble a bit when I'm full but I'd never push myself too far. I'm too scared it would make me sick. Usually, I don't eat quite enough, so overeating isn't my issue. Mostly I worry I'm not eating enough.

Getting To Know You ( 5 )

 Everyone else was mostly doing this on Saturday, but I wanted to keep with the Sunday tradition, especially since I won't be doing a whole lot Sunday anyway.


1. What has been your most memorable Mother's Day? (with your mom, as a mom, or with your wife)
None have been particularly memorable. I don't live near my mother so I don't usually see her on mother's day, and I'm not a mother yet myself.

2. Have you ever been pulled over for speeding and were you able to talk your way out of it?
Once, and I got the ticket. But he lied on the ticket and said I was going slower than I was, so I could get the cheaper fine. So it was kind of a win, right?


3. What's the oldest thing you have hanging in your closet?
Nothing really. It's all just clothing that I still occasionally wear.


4. Do you whiten your teeth?
I used to use the whitestrips but stopped when I first started dating my boyfriend (over a year ago), because I barely had time to keep them on for a half hour, and I sure wasn't letting my new boyfriend see me wearing them haha.


5. Underwear or Panties..What do you call your "unmetionables"?
Underwear! It sounds less sexy.


6. If you could go on vacation right now..today..where would you go?
Bahamas, preferably.


7. Do you get offended when people cuss on their blogs?
Not really. I may have done it before. Sometimes I type what I'm thinking, without thinking, you know? It doesn't offend me but the less the better. It doesn't look very good when it's everywhere.

8. If you had to give up one luxury item, it would be....?
I didn't know I had luxury items in my life. 

Getting To Know You -{ a 4th time }

1. Are you superstitious?
No, not at all.

2. If you were an animal..what kind would you be?
Probably a cat. I find them to be sarcastic, moody, sometimes cuddly, and very wise. Which is like me, minus the wise part.

3. You would never catch me wearing.........?
Skinny jeans, I think. I just don't feel good in them.

4. If someone posts a VLOG..do you watch it?
Sure do. I like seeing and hearing the people that I read about everday.

5. Have you ever waxed your girlie/manly parts..or any other part of your body?
I wax lips and eyebrows on a regular basis. I've done my lower legs, underarm and bikini region each once. I like how it turns out, but hate the pain at the time. The mild stinging afterwards is a bit annoying as well. Would like to get it all done again though.

6. Are you a spender or a saver?
Spender. But I'm trying so hard to save. I need to get out of this whole I dug myself in to. Plus I want to go to Ontario sometime.

7. If you were starring in a movie..who would you want to play your leading man/woman?
Ryan Reynolds. I loved him the most in The Proposal (hint: there is some full side naked viewing in that movie (someone I follow posted a picture of it on their blog, but I can't remember who)). He's only 11 years older than me. I think we could make a marriage work, we'd fall in love on the set, naturally.

8. Smoker..never smoked..social smoker..or smoked back in the day?
Never smoked, never want to. I hate everything about it.

'Getting to Know You' a third time

1. Mens chests..hairy or hairless?

Hair I suppose. If there's none at all it just reminds me of a child's chest.

2. How often do you run red lights?

Quite a bit, because that's how we drive here. The light goes yellow so as many people that want to turn, try to do it when the oncoming traffic stops. It gets a bit crazy at times.

3. If you could raid any celebrity's closet..whose would you raid?

Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Carrie Underwood.

4. Would you rather have more followers/friends on Facebook, Twitter, or your Blog?

My Blog. Twitter followers probably forget they follow me, I'm not one of those 'tweet every 10 minutes' people. More like tweet every few days. And I'm trying to cut back on my facebook friends by deleting the people I don't talk to, and probably never will again.

5. What makes you feel sexy?

Dresses. I'm basically obsessed with them lately. And my boyfriend.

6. I get excited when...........?

The weather is great. I have lots of extra money after the bills are paid. I find something that I can afford, that I love, and it fits perfectly.

7. Are you the "outdoorsy" type or more "indoorsy"?

When the weather is great I love to be outside. I love the beach, camping, going for walks, laying out in the sun, bbqing. I'm not really a lover of nature though. Most insects freak me out or annoy me.

8. Would you rather have your dream home or a million dollars?
A million dollars. I could get my dream house and have money left over for other things.. like my dream car :)

Getting to Know You (2nd Edition)

1. What color do you wear the most?

Black and white, since it's my work uniform. Besides that, it's probably blue. 

 

2. Would you rather have $10,000 dollars or a dream vacation?

$10,000. I could take my dream vacation with the money and still have a bunch leftover.

 

3. Do you have a weird, quirky or unusual habit?

Um, I guess they way I pour the milk in the bowl, then eat little bits of cereal at a time, by the handful. It started because I hated soggy cereal and now I can't stop. 

 

4. I really need to start..........?

Flossing more and saving money.

 

5. What was the first blog you ever read?

On Blogspot, I believe it was No Hometown. 

 

6. Do you collect anything?

TV show boxed sets kind of. Even if I don't watch the show now, if it's cheap, I'll buy it and start!

 

7. How old were you when you had your first kiss?

Fifteen. It was truth or dare. Pretty boring stuff. 

 

8. Do you text/twitter while driving?

I've texted before. Not so much anymore. I keep away from my phone now that it's illegal to talk and drive.

Getting To Know You

I'm going to try something new today. Something called "Getting to Know You". It's pretty self-explanatory, so I shall just get started.

1 - Why did you start blogging?

I used to regularly write in an online journal, until my favorite website got taken over by new owners and completely changed (at the end of October this year) so I'd been looking for a new place to write. I tried out Blogger and LiveJournal and although both were great, I liked what I saw on here and somehow it stuck with me over the past couple of months, and now I'm addicted.

2 - Who's the one blog friend that you would want to meet most in "real life"?

I'm still pretty new at this and don't really have people I'd call friends yet, although I have come across many amazing, talented, funny bloggers out there that I'd be happy to meet.

3 - Why are you always concerned with losing that "extra 10 pounds" when chances are your husband/boyfriend/friends tell you that you look just fine the way you are?

I definitely don't need to lose any pounds, I need to gain weight. I wouldn't mind being a bit bigger but mostly I'm fine the way I am.

4 - What's the one thing you wish guys could understand about you?

I get along well with other guys. That doesn't mean there's any reason to worry. Even if they're interested in something more, I'm usually not. So you don't need to hate them or worry about me doing something I'm not supposed to. I'm not that kind of girl.

5 - Tattoos. How many do you have and how many are visible when you wear your "everyday" clothes?

I have zero. I'd like to look into getting one someday though.

6 - What was the best year of your life and why?

The last year. I got a job I actually love, I started making enough money to get by, and I spent it with the guy I'm in love with. I've had less depressed moments this year, spent a lot more time just being content with life, and looked forward to the future.

7 - Name three things you would do if you were a man for one day.

Drink beer, be one of those sleazy guys hitting on girls with cheesy pick up lines, and figure out their obsession with their man parts.

8 - What's your alcoholic drink of choice that usually raises a few eyebrows?

I normally just drink Revs or vodka mixed drinks. Nothing eyebrow-raising worthy.
