I do have a more serious post ready to go, but I felt this would make better 'Filler Friday' material.
Have you heard of Comment Vomit? Because this post is amazing and I couldn't agree more.
"You're blog is awesome. Come follow mine." <---That is a basic example of Comment Vomit. Did that person read my post? It's possible, but highly unlikely.
I'm all for following somebody back, if they put effort into reading my post. I'm even more inclined to follow them back if they follow without asking me to follow back.
I deleted Comment Vomit for the first time today, and it won't be the last.
If you don't care about what I have to say, don't follow, and don't comment. I'm not really about the numbers, I'd rather do without.
So for those who visit just to get me to follow or comment back:
- If you don't read the post, don't comment on it, I will ignore
- If you're all about deals, reviews and giveaways?
I'm not into that no matter what you comment on my blog (sorry)
- Don't follow unless you like my blog
It's like being friends with someone you don't enjoy being around, just so you can say they are your friend.
Vomit is actually a phobia of mine, so keep it off my blog, please.
